well, i would expect this to be a fairly unpopular opinion. but to me, neville is the ideal example of a gryffindor. do you remember when he was only in the first year, when harry, ronald and hermione snuck out of the gryffindor dormitories, and he was there to stop them, determined to prevent his house from losing more house points? and there he was, battling at the final battle in the school grounds, and killed a horcrux himself. and not many think of trelawney’s prophecy, too. he could’ve been the chosen one.
